Mark Doubleday E.P. Finished! CD Release Party - March 26th, 2010

That's right. The E.P. for Mark Doubleday is finished. I had a lot of fun working with Mark and I am really happy with the final sound of the E.P. We tried to portray an honest sound throughout the record by keeping it real and raw. I hope you can make it out to the CD Release show on March 26th, 2010 at the Lookout Room located in the BSU Sub Building, 3rd floor at 7pm.

Here's a picture of the artwork. Kudos to the artist who did a phenomenal job on it!

sOphia!

sOphia!, a very unique indie-rock 4-piece band based out of Twin Falls, ID recently made the trek to Boise to record their debut 4-song E.P. We had a blast making music and were very tired by the end of the sessions, at least I was. These guys did great and I think we're all very pleased with the end result. Be sure to check out these guys at www.myspace.com/deadforsophia to hear their new music along with any updates. A lot of exciting things for them to come!

Workin' On Fire

These guys were a lot of fun to work with. They came in prepared which usually always equates to better tracking and less editing. Nice work guys! Here are some pictures and video footage they provided. Stay tuned for updates on their new E.P coming soon at www.myspace.com/workinonfire

New addition to studio family

So this post is for my nerdy recording/musician friends. Everybody else, this may bore you to tears.

As a constant effort to keep the studio updated on technology and sound improvements, I would like to introduce you to the newest member of the studio. He will sit proud in his rack with his cousins.. This is an Avalon U5 and for musicians, especially bassists, you will fall in love with the clarity, tone and pizzaz this adds to your bass sound. It supposedly works great on a number of other instruments, though it caters to the bass. Ok, I'm all geeked out for now....
